The Animal School
This reading was relatable because not all general education classes should be required. Some people may be really strong in a specific and have weaknesses in others. While they may be doing good in the beginning of the year, like the duck was strong in swimming but not in running and the school made him stop doing what he loved to become adequate in both swimming and running. I can relate because I am strong in english and history but not math and science and I would have to stay for help in math. By putting more time in math and trying to do better I stopped trying to do my best in reading and history.
The Honest College ad was funny because of how much it exaggerated college life but besides the exaggeration it was scary how relatable it can get. It made me reevaluate taking advantage of what college has to offer and to rethink about prioritizing my school work first. The ad also made me think that I cannot mess up getting an education because how the one guy mentioned how his dad is working three jobs, my parents are also working hard to send me through school and to work hard to get an education.
